the internet has caused some…unwanted visitors. this being the case, I’m moving my blog.

I’m setting up new digs at the moment and after tonight, a new blog without names or faces will be out there. not much difference from this one, really, just a different address, design and tone.

but i haven’t the energy or inclination. sorry bout that.

z went to bed easy. and oh.my.god. i’m a genius. sort of. the smoothies? SMASHING SUCCESS. once she got over the noise of the blender.

so much so, that (this is where not being a genius shows) she drank an entire cup of berry-vanilla yogurt-milk smoothie and left most of her dinner untouched. i understand. if i get a milkshake, i’m not eating my meal, either. i’m languishing in the creamy godliness that is liquefied, cold food.

so here’s the newest drama: seems the blog network i write for is (not yet shutting down, but) cutting back on their writers. and so, they’ll be deciding over the next couple days who stays and doesn’t. based on quality of writing and posting frequency, apparently.

i don’t think i’m that great a writer, but at the same time, it’s good enough to get over 7K in page views in a month when i only posted six times. but that frequency, an issue and the niche, very hard to market. so i’m thinking i’ll be getting the axe.

which is really fine with me cuz i’d prefer to integrate the content of that blog into the new blog. which i was planning launch of on friday. guess how that might be a problem?

the network hosts my blog for me.

so i am going to go the route that all (wannabe) probloggers shudder at. i’m going to blogspot. they offer free hosting and easy template manipulation and until the site is up and actually making me money that i can use to get someone to prettify it for me and oh yeah, pay for hosting and the computer to save my entire site on, (cuz mine is bottom of the line, circa 97) i’m thinking it’s gonna be my least stressful modus operandi.

sucks.

anyway, it’ll delay the launch, likely. ’specially with this new work emergency that i should be doing but am posting and drinking tea instead of.

so i keep getting frustrated with a certain work-related situation. seems a client of mine is a very laissez-faire person. cool, right? seems this person is always juggling tasks and doing things at the last moment and therefore it’s always a panic. the problem with this is that a lot of last minute stuff comes to me, without prior request and it’s an emergency.

so now, i have to use up most of my ‘free time’ (ha) to scramble, getting stuff organized for an appointment that is taking place in a couple of days. a year’s worth of stuff. organized for two days from now, if i have that long.

errr. time i want to spend writing and spring cleaning, i’ll be sifting through a tote box of receipts. did i mention for two days?!

also, in other news, i have replaced my coffee addiction with a mild love affair. my new paramour is english breakfast tea. tonight i have some hard core plans: to introduce zoë to the wonders of a berry smoothie. yogurt and frozen berry mix - what could be awesomer?

additionally, we bought stuff. as usual. pictures to come, but we finally found z shoes that fit that weren’t totally ugo, some yarn for her bedroom project and i bought me some bright freakin’ pink eyeshadow for those nights on the town that i indulge in so much. scratch that, it’s for playtime. but it’s rad, and that’s the only word to describe it.
